Organized By: Coupe 112
Event Description
The Official Hotel is the Austin Marriott South.... Double Award Points, underground parking, free internet, 2 drink tickets per room per night, free downtown shuttle nightly....
Harris Hill Road Course... They have rented the track for 2 full days of driving your car the way you want to drive it.. no pace car, no roll bar.... you do need a helmet.. there are limited spots for this.... Registration for the entire event starts on Sept 1 but you can go ahead and reserve your room at the Marriott... Those that are at the Marriott will receive a discount on the Road Course......
Howee and myself are part of the planning committee and I thought that I would post this over here as well.... I hope that we can get a great turnout from Michigan.... It will be in June
The roads in the Texas Hill Country are off the charts and you will be amazed at the Twisted Sisters. We want to offer group runs as well as self-guided runs, and each run will include some sort of lunch stop. We will also offer a Tubing Run down the Guadalupe River along with a Segway Tour to visit the Famous Congress Avenue Bridge to watch a colony of over 1.5 million bats take flight near downtown Austin - they look like a cloud forming over the bridge! - as well as other activities. Each night there will be a number of group dinners at various restaurants with a final dinner at the hotel on Friday night.
We have been working in the background on this since the first of June and it is finally starting to come together. We have a number of forum members from the Texas area as well as in other states working on this along with an advisory group with valuable knowledge of large events.
Michigan has 12 folks signed up, and Michael J Fraser "Wicked Mike" is forming a caravan.

2011 MKC MOD MEET - (Michigan Kappa Club)
Time: May 15, 2011 from 9am to 11:45pm
Location: Gunnys place
Street: 1810 Waverly Rd.
City/Town: Holt, MI. 48842
Website or Map: http://www.solsticeforum.com/…
Phone: 517-213-1059
Event Type: modification, installs, tech, talk, and, bbq
Announcing the second annual MKC MOD MEET. A collective meeting of those who have purchased new products to install and would like the assistance of others who have previously instaled them, and those who just want to come hang out with friends. In conjunction there will be a grill out feast ( and other possible good times depending on how late people stay (camp fire, etc...)) Last years $10.00 a head left enough to feed the Michigan homeless so He's thinking we'll go with $5.00 a head and should hit the mark on a full tank of food and drink.
Or (and this is just a suggestion), we could stick with the $10.00 a head and half will be donated to maintaining the MKC official website renewal fee.
He is posting early to give advance notice with ample time for members to contemplate, purchase, and announce what mods they wish to have done at the meet. The sooner the better. If there are a good number wanting to do DDM products, they may concider making an event appearance as they have done at other club mod meets.
Gunny will begin collecting funds on April 15th. The soonest after that you can send it the easier it will be for him to budget, plan, and purchase in advance, the consumables for the event. He would like to avoid payment by paypal. Please send payment via mail to the event address above. If you are a MKC member include your forum ID with the payment as a double check to ensure it get's linked to the proper member.
